Colac Vintage Tools is founded on a simple belief.

Quality 2nd hand tools deserve a second life”

Established in 2025 based in Cororooke, Victoria and now at the Murray Street Market, Colac. Colac Vintage tools is a hobby turned side hustle. Along with in-store sales at the market, the Murray Street Market now acts as a drop off and pick up point for sharpening and other services.

We specialise in sourcing 2nd hand tools, restoring and sharpening vintage woodworking tools. We are able to introduce people to premium Japanese edge tools, with a large variety of items. Every item we sell, from a Stanley number 4 to a hand-forged kanna blade we select them for their craftsmanship. We love the history and the longevity of vingtage 2nd hand tools.

Our work is grounded in respect for traditional toolmaking. Japanese blades are treated with the attention and precision that laminated steels demand, ensuring each edge performs the way it was intended. We prioritise tools that are ready for the bench, not just the shelf. Whether you are a furniture maker, hobbyist, carpenter, or collector, our aim is to supply tools that feel right in the hand and deliver clean, confident results on timber.

Colac Vintage Tools operates from the Murray Street Market, where customers can handle tools in person and explore unique pieces that change week to week. We also offer sharpening and restoration services, from a light touch-ups to advanced hand plane rebuilds.

Above all, our business reflects a belief that good tools make good work and that well-made tools should outlast many generations. We’re proud to help continue their journey.
